We’ve had a ton of amazing bands come through the playlist this month and I wanted to share a few of my favorites. If they are on the playlist, they’re my favorites, but if I also write about them, hot dayyyyng!
Party Boss – Stay Colder
Chaotic groove-punk (is that even a thing?) from these UK party bosses. It’s like a poppier Rollins Band with a London accent. There’s a lot packed into this 3 minute masterpiece. Its at the top of the playlist for a reason.
Richvale – Broken Record
A cross-continent Canadian collaborative from two guys named Ryan. Catchy, harmonious pop punk without the whininess that pervades the genre.
I Don’t Give a Fuck – Sinbuenos
El Paso punkers don’t give a fuck about anything except making fun catchy three chord anti-authority songs. They really don’t give a fuck about Instagram either so unfortunately you can’t follow them here.
Living the Dream – Suburban Rituals
Punk/metal madness from Montreal. I got worried that they were about to throw some ska in the middle of this song that bounces from punk to thrash to crazy breakdowns with harmonized guitar leads. Spoiler alert: the ska threshold was not reached, and all is well.
