James Quenville’s vocal chords sound like they’re coming out his lips on Sudbury, Ontario’s 3dspex debut EP “Sunny Days Inside”. The band churns through five mid-tempo fuzzed-out and heavily-compressed melodic punk jams. The chugga chugga power chords are fierce and this fits somewhere between Dillinger Four and Weezer (but the good kine Weezer). They apparently were very recently called VCR but just changed their name, so we will call them 3dspex, not VCR.
